Young People and Alcohol
As hospital admissions continue to rise for the under 14s and more young people are developing alcohol-related health problems, there is a high level of concern about excessive drinking by young people. This one day course has been designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge to enable them to work more effectively with young people using alcohol. It will explore the physical, psychological, social, legal and emotional effects of alcohol, the risks alcohol can present to young people’s health and how to provide brief advice and support to young people.
